9/11

Pretty soon the volunteering world will once again be preparing for 9/11 National Day of Service. This annual event is a way for Americans to remember the spirit of community that came out of 9/11 and pledge a commitment to volunteering and service in response. As nonprofits, we’re able to help people make this pledge to serve by offering volunteer opportunities, whether it’s on 9/11 or over the course of the year to come.

VolunteerMatch makes it easy for any charitable organization to take part in this inspirational day. In each of the past two years, approximately a third of a million people came looking for opportunities on VolunteerMatch in the two weeks leading up to 9/11 National Day of Service.

This year, make sure they find your volunteer opportunity.

First, though, you need to confirm that your account is up to date on VolunteerMatch, and that your opportunities are posted. Log in here to get started with the quick and easy process.

Check out our blog post from last year with more ideas for how your nonprofit can take part in 9/11 National Day of Service.
